An appointment is necessary to audition. Please phone 9513 9949. Most boys audition between the ages of 7 and 9 years.
Boys attend auditions in groups of 12 or so. The 50-minute session involves singing games, and exploration of each individual's rhythmic and pitch abilities. No prepared song is necessary and boys are not asked to sing alone in any extended way. Assessment of reading ability is made and boys recount - in a wide-ranging general discussion - their musical experience, any instruments learned, etc. While the boys are assessed, parents are introduced to the Choir and its training programs, and enjoy light refreshments.
