PRAGUE TO SALZBURG

Today’s blogging comes from the Red colour group.

Everybody was up early (again!) for breakfast this morning, but at least we could eat as much as we wanted. Today we were headed for Salzburg. The bus ride was long, but we got to stop off for lunch in a big park before the Czech-Austria border and run around for a bit, which was fun.

We saw some stunning countryside views on our way into Vienna, and were able to get some photos in at a toilet stop along the way. As we approached Salzburg our tour guide put some songs from Sound Of Music on in preparation, which we all had lots of fun singing along to (editor’s note: as you can hear for yourself…).

After the bus ride we had a rehearsal in the St Andrew’s church, where we had a concert later in the evening. For dinner we had pizza – the biggest pizza we had ever seen! The concert went very well in the end – we sung alongside the ‘Jugendkantorei’ or ‘youth choir’ of the Salzburg cathedral. They sounded really good, and also seemed to really enjoy the music we had to sing as well. Photos from the concert can be viewed here, from boy’s choir magazine VOX PUERI, who have been accompanying us for this leg of our tour.
