KATTAYA
26 October 2020SINGING TO SPECIAL MOMENTS IN HISTORY
In October 1998, the Academy Award Nominated film Elizabeth was released much to the excitement of the Australian Boys Choir boys. Only four months earlier a small group of the boys had been asked to learn and record some music for the soundtrack. The Duke of Norfolk, and others, having committed “treason” are despatched in particularly gruesome and graphic detail while the boys sweetly sing part of a requiem by William Byrd.
In 2000, the choir was again called on for the soundtrack of the highly acclaimed Australian movie The Dish. Providing a backdrop to another pivotal moment in history – the first lunar landing.
Special voices for special moments.
