For the opening program of its 2025 concert season, the Australian Boys Choral Institute presents the Australian premiere of Robert Koolstra's reconstruction of J.S. Bach's lost St. Mark passion in the lead-up to Easter.

Singers from the Australian Boys Choir and The Vocal Consort will join an outstanding cast of guest soloists in the ABCI's debut collaboration with leading Melbourne period instrument ensemble Genesis Baroque.

  • Doors open at 1:45pm, concert starts at 2:00pm sharp. This performance will have one interval of 15 minutes. Latecomers will not be permitted until a suitable break in the performance.
  • No photography or videographers permitted. Audience members should note this performance is being recorded.
  • Both our Ballarat and Melbourne concert venues for these performances are fully accessible. While we encourage families to attend our concerts, this presentation is not suitable for very young children or infants.
  • Our repeat Melbourne performance will also be live-streamed via the Australian Digital Concert Hall. For more information and digital ticket access available world-wide, please see the ADCH website.
