HIGHLIGHTS FROM BACH'S ST MARK PASSION
We were thrilled to launch our 86th anniversary season in 2025 with a performance of Bach's long-lost St Mark Passion. Presented in conjunction with The Vocal Consort and Melbourne/Naarm's outstanding period instrument chamber orchestra Genesis Baroque, this performance also featured guest soloists and members of the Kelly Gang and our Tyro, Junior Singer and Cambiata Training Groups.
The reconstruction was prepared by international musicologist Robert Koolstra and was performed in both Ballarat and Melbourne. More information is available here. Our performance received a glowing review in Classic Melbourne and marked the start of a three-year project exploring all of Bach's surviving Passion settings.
