LEIPZIG AND THOMASKIRCHE - 2ND DAY

Today was like a living dream: Full breakfast cookup, including amazing crispy bacon, beautiful scrambled eggs, and mini meatballs. To kick off the day, we visited the biggest memorial we have ever seen. It was massive, and celebrated the win over Napolean. Then we visited a giant lake that our tour guide told us used to be a coal mine, and burnt off some energy at a nearby playground. Walking back, we happened to notice some people on the shore of the lake not wearing many clothes… it turns out our walk to the playground had taken us past a nudist beach, which was full of beautiful life.
After a stop for lunch in the city, the rest of the day consisted of another amazing experience performing at St Thomas’s church. Our singing was great and would have made Bach proud. The venue was such a pleasure to sing in, and I bet we will remember that concert for the rest of our lives. Also, a super prestiguous man in the music community said it was a pleasure to listen to. (editors note: the man in question was freelance choral conductor Edward Caswell, who came up to talk to our accompanist Mr Graham Cox after the performance.)
After the performance, we got together for a final photo in front of the big statue of Bach outside, then said goodbye to the truly spectacular city of Leipzig and prepared to head for Prague. We hope everyone at home is doing great, and want you to know that we have survived the first four days!!!
