This marked first ever International tour for the Kelly Gang with the Performing Squad. The repertoire was almost all Australian music, including works by Peter Sculthorpe, Paul Stanhope and Sarah Hopkins.
At the end of June 2017, the Kelly Gang headed to the Pemulwuy Male Voice Festival in Brisbane. Attending the festival every three years has become a sort of tradition for these young men.
Mid-September saw the Choir and The Vocal Consort in the heart of our country. The Choir sang at the Desert Song Festival in Alice Springs, visited the Ntaria/Hermannsburg Community, sang for the School of the Air and workshopped with Choirs and schools of Alice Springs.
In September and October 2018 the Australian Boys Choir traveled with a mixed group of our adult male choir, The Vocal Consort, and our teenage changed voices choir, The Kelly Gang, to Europe, encompassing Germany, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Highlight's included singing in Bach's church in Leipzig, Mozart's Cathedral in Salzburg and workshops with other local choirs.
Twenty-three of our singers performed to highly appreciative audiences in Adelaide, Mount Gambier & Warrnambool, also collaborating with Tenison Woods College and Young Adelaide Voices. A capacity crowd in Colac (not to mention some exceptional country hospitality!) saw the tour round out on exactly the right note.
It was very exciting to re-start our touring program in July 2023 with singers from The Kelly Gang and The Vocal Consort travelling to Brisbane to participate the Pemulwuy National Male Voice Festival. Being part of a group of 400 singers working together was a powerful experience for all involved.

This was our second tour in 2023 as we sent our Performing Squad singers off to South Western Victoria. With one performance each day, this tour was particularly busy, but our singers had a great time sharing their music on the road.
